First thinking about something by Martin Luther King Jr. I expect to learn something new about what he has done to make a difference in many lives. first thing I notice in the article was that Dr.King was trying to give opportunity to poverty. they wanted this march on Washington and the Pentagon to change the values that were given to these people. He believed that after the ended that poverty was left with broken promises.

For my future I want what everybody else wants, to be successful. In the future I see myself in good health taking care of myself remaining drug-free. I see my self living near the city, preferably metro- Atlanta, I see myself still close to my family and at a steady job with a stable income. I want to be do something that I love so I would able to put my heart into it. On a typical day I see yself leaving for work early in the morning coming back mid-afternoon, so then I could enjoy the rest of my day with friends and family.

I have been reading the book by sister soulja. I have read two of her books so far and everytime I have started one it becomes hard for me to put the book down. He books bring you into the lives of the character making it feel as though you are there with them. Reading "No Disrespect" was bringing me into the life of the main character, Sister Soulja, and the atmosphere she grew up in. She started out living middle class, but when her father loses his job and becomes depressed, her mother, sister and brother move downtown in the ghetto. She finds out that she has to start growing tough skin to survive there.
Life changing moments are the hardest to go through, yet can be the most rewarding. (anne)

She continues to get use to her surrounds and start to see a change in her family. Her mom is starting to date neighbor guys and her sister and brother begin to slack off in school. She tries to stay on them but when she decides to go to college, she thinks of where her family will end up. But right before she goes to college she finds out that her mother is pregnant and that they are moving in with her grandmother. She thinks this would be a good change for the family because grandma is a minister at her church and dont really put up with the non-sense.

She ends up oing to college and meet all sorts of people. Unlike normal college students she enjoys learning new things and attend class, she especially is finding it necessary that they offer African American courses. So as she start getting accustomed to the college, she started falling for this senior who interest her with his mind, not his looks. As the year went on they would see each other every couple of weeks, but when they were together they really had a connection that was hard to break.

As the summer came they made there relationship offical and they spent all their time together. So a couple months into their relationship Nathan, Her boyfriend, couldn't find a job after graduating and started to become depressed. His depression lead him away from her, so one day he called her up and said that he had to become a man before he could be in a relationship. So he ended up dumping to her and they never spoke again.

She took the break up really hard, she became depressed and start shutting friends from her school out. so as another year rolled around she decided to go to summer school so she would be able to stay busy. so as she signed up for her classes she wondered where she would stay since she couldnt stay in the dorms, thats when this senior told her how much she admired her and would be honored to have her as a house quest. That summer as she stayed with her she began to learn much about her roommates life style. She played men to get money and support her high-class life style.

As the summer came to an end her roommate lifestyle started to catch up with her. She ended up getting caught up in the game and was left by herself. But Carmen was about to move back on campus and get out of that drama for good. Sometimes she considered why she didnt rub off on her , but she realized that maybe it was for good that she not get into those situations.

her graduation date was coming up soon she begin to think about what she wanted to do after she graduated. She ended up running into this pastor that heard good word of her, and he wanted her to run this program out of the church that would help the youth in the area. So as she begin running the program she meet this guy thatt had this confidence about him that she begin to fall in love with.

As they start spending more time together they get to know each other better they begin to find out thinkgs about each other. They go to lunch everyday together and have amazing conversations about life and where they see there relationship in the future. She thinks she knows all about him until he tells her about his child, at first this shocked her and she didnt know if she could handle a kid and a the kids mother. But she decides not to let this interfer with there relationship. So one day he doesnt call her and she suspects something is wrong, soon she found out that he had been arrested for murder.

As she gets the details she finds out that the cop has been harrassing him for years, so when they heard of a murder in the neighborhood he suspected that he had something to do with it. So as Carmen makes calls and collect money for his bail they release him and she is so happy that she didnt have to pay to bail him out and that he wasnt charge with murder.

So when he got out he had promised her that they would marry the following week, she thought it was sudden but it was true love and she wasnt going to stand in the way of that. So that friday he showed up to her house late and told her that he was a drug dealer and that some people was out to get him he needed some money to keep his mom safe, sh she ended up giving him $3,000. And he called her regularly for her protection they could hangout much.

So when she came back from summer camp with the kids she found a number in his pocket and called it. She found out that he had been playing her the whole time and was married to his childs mother and also that he just used her to get the money. He told her that he didnt love her at all and that he didnt want anymore contact with her. That was the last time they spoke. She took this breakup extremely hard and became depressed, so she started focusing more on her career.

She started to come to the fact that all the good men were taken and she only had two choices. She had to share a man or not have one at all, so she told herself if a guy did come into her life she would want all honesty out on the table and if he was in a relationship then he would have to tell his girl friend that he also had her on the side. I think it was kind of pitiful for her to drop her standards. But she soon realized that she didnt want to share a guy and wanted him all to herself. So he ended up leaving her and she wasnt so heartbroken this time because she didnt really love him, she just considered what they had to be just a fling.

This book starts out with lady name Pooh who has thhe perfect life, she has the perfect husband and the perfect child. But things go wrong and its just her and her son. She knows she has to find work or they would be put out of there apartment and she doesnt have anybody else to stay with. So she sees the ad in the paper for a wanted excort and shes not to sure what it is but she thinks that it cant be to hard, and she also would do anything to provide a better life for her son.

So she calls in and is put on the schedule for the following night. She shows up the first night and is scared, but she starts to think of all the things she could buy for her son with the money. So as the knight comes to an end she ends up with about $1,500. And she figured she would just do this untild she could find steady work somewhere else making decent money.

So as she gets deeper into the business she starts to make more money and decides to let her friend buy into part of her business. so she charges him a start up cost that would be due before he could have any part of her business. She begins to realize that the workers are like family to her so as there form of line doesnt earn respect but she respects them for everything, on the other side they respect her too. She took many of her workers out of the danger of the streets and had them working out of hotels rooms.

She ends up wanting in the drug gang she sees how much money is being handled and she decides that she wants a cut. so through her connections that she has made she gets straight through to the source. she finds this as a advantage and disadvantage becasue first she doesnt have to pay a middle man, but on the down side anything that goes wrong falls back on her.

As she weighs the options she sees that she could just do it for a season to save up money, enough to get her and her son out of the state to start a new life, with a new beginning. So she gets some of her most trusted people who know how to sell the products to work on her team, she believes that these few men are on her side and know that this is only a temporary thing.

So during her fist run she was scared to death but knew she had a bulletproof plan, everything went smoothly and she seen that she recieved $50,000 off her first run. that was her goal amount but she still had to pay people off and save some money for the next run. So she thought that just doing a couple more would give them enough money to last her a while and could give her son whatever he hope for in his future even if that included college. She knew that if she kept him focus he would be able to do whatever he wanted and not just be another static.

So she decides that she will just do this last run for chino and be out the business and out of the town the following week, but chino figures that he would keep her doing it so he could get some money coming in since his money had started to run out. So during one of her runs the cops got tipped of about what she was doing and found the drugs in her car and had somebody already to testify against her. She found out that one of the guys on her team ended up telling on her so that he could get out of jail on a felony charge. So as she is in jail everyone she knows start turning against her.

Guys on her team start making deals to testify against her for deals on getting out and getting their sentences reduced. So as she makes her first court appearance she sees all the guys that turned their back on her when all she did was helped them get money to support there families, she became disappointed in all of them but especially chino because he was the reason for the run and then he turned around and stabbed him in the back.

She has been in jail for months and as the book ends her soon is put in the custody of her mom, and her sister moved to the city she was in so that she would never miss one of her court days, and she had a lawyer on her side and a man to back her up and support her. So she is still awaiting trail and form the looks of it she might get a heavy sentence due to all the evidence and testifies that she has against her.

This book really was interesting because it describe how someone�s kindness can be taking for weakness. She put a lot of people to work so they could live a comfortable life and take care of their families and not want for anything and in the end everyone turns on her and leaves her to take the charges on her own. But I also thought she was kind of crazy for trusting chino again after he left her with nothing and disclaimed their son and she still made extra runs for him, then he ended up leaving her again all alone with nothing.

The chance she took start with a story of this young girl life, Rayquelle lives with her mom, step dad and two sisters. She did have a twin brother but he was killed when there were in the sixth grade and walking to school and he was hit by a speeding driver who ran up on the sidewalk and killed him. After that her mom became depressed and starts drinking from the time she woke up to the time she fell asleep.

As they get there they found out that they have to give blood and the middle sister can�t give blood because she got HIV so Rayquelle had to donate blood for her sister.

When they asked her why she killed her dad she told them that she was playing hide and seek with her sister and ended up hiding behind her parents door, she heard them arguing, she heard her mom say that she knew that he was molesting her child and she was leaving and didn�t care if she did get locked up.

But then she seen her dad strangles her mom then go hang her in her sisters room to make it look like suicide. So she starts poisoning his medicine and it eventually killed him. But for chance they had a whole case against him, fingerprints and he was caught on photo leaving the premises

Rayquelle then started going through with withdrawals and need her medicine so she convinced her sister that this would be the last time and that she wouldn�t do it again. Rayquelle ended up dying from mixed of high levels of heroin and the drugs that the hospital was giving her.

Then Chance ended up getting all charges drop because one of the guys hired to kill the girl ended up confessing in a letter left after he committed suicide.

And from that day on nobody has heard from or seen Chance. I think that Chance was so heart broken that she didnt feel comfortable telling him what was going on in her life. I didnt really like how the book ended, i thought she was going to get clean and go back to her old life of being happy and hving everything that she needs and wants.

On a typical day I see yself leaving for work early in the morning coming back mid-afternoon, so then I could enjoy the rest of my day with friends and family.

I have been reading the book by sister soulja. I have read two of her books so far and everytime I have started one it becomes hard for me to put the book down. He books bring you into the lives of the character making it feel as though you are there with them. Reading "No Disrespect" was bringing me into the life of the main character, Sister Soulja, and the atmosphere she grew up in. She started out living middle class, but when her father loses his job and becomes depressed, her mother, sister and brother move downtown in the ghetto. She finds out that she has to start growing tough skin to survive there.
Life changing moments are the hardest to go through, yet can be the most rewarding. (anne)

She continues to get use to her surrounds and start to see a change in her family. Her mom is starting to date neighbor guys and her sister and brother begin to slack off in school. She tries to stay on them but when she decides to go to college, she thinks of where her family will end up. But right before she goes to college she finds out that her mother is pregnant and that they are moving in with her grandmother. She thinks this would be a good change for the family because grandma is a minister at her church and dont really put up with the non-sense.

She ends up oing to college and meet all sorts of people. Unlike normal college students she enjoys learning new things and attend class, she especially is finding it necessary that they offer African American courses. So as she start getting accustomed to the college, she started falling for this senior who interest her with his mind, not his looks. As the year went on they would see each other every couple of weeks, but when they were together they really had a connection that was hard to break.

As the summer came they made there relationship offical and they spent all their time together. So a couple months into their relationship Nathan, Her boyfriend, couldn't find a job after graduating and started to become depressed. His depression lead him away from her, so one day he called her up and said that he had to become a man before he could be in a relationship. So he ended up dumping to her and they never spoke again.

That summer as she stayed with her she began to learn much about her roommates life style. She played men to get money and support her high-class life style.

But Carmen was about to move back on campus and get out of that drama for good. Sometimes she considered why she didnt rub off on her , but she realized that maybe it was for good that she not get into those situations.

She ended up running into this pastor that heard good word of her, and he wanted her to run this program out of the church that would help the youth in the area. So as she begin running the program she meet this guy thatt had this confidence about him that she begin to fall in love with.

They go to lunch everyday together and have amazing conversations about life and where they see there relationship in the future. She thinks she knows all about him until he tells her about his child, at first this shocked her and she didnt know if she could handle a kid and a the kids mother. But she decides not to let this interfer with there relationship. So one day he doesnt call her and she suspects something is wrong, soon she found out that he had been arrested for murder.

As she gets the details she finds out that the cop has been harrassing him for years, so when they heard of a murder in the neighborhood he suspected that he had something to do with it. So as Carmen makes calls and collect money for his bail they release him and she is so happy that she didnt have to pay to bail him out and that he wasnt charge with murder.

So that friday he showed up to her house late and told her that he was a drug dealer and that some people was out to get him he needed some money to keep his mom safe, sh she ended up giving him $3,000. And he called her regularly for her protection they could hangout much.

She found out that he had been playing her the whole time and was married to his childs mother and also that he just used her to get the money. He told her that he didnt love her at all and that he didnt want anymore contact with her. That was the last time they spoke. She took this breakup extremely hard and became depressed, so she started focusing more on her career.

She had to share a man or not have one at all, so she told herself if a guy did come into her life she would want all honesty out on the table and if he was in a relationship then he would have to tell his girl friend that he also had her on the side. I think it was kind of pitiful for her to drop her standards. But she soon realized that she didnt want to share a guy and wanted him all to herself. So he ended up leaving her and she wasnt so heartbroken this time because she didnt really love him, she just considered what they had to be just a fling.

She knew that if she kept him focus he would be able to do whatever he wanted and not just be another static.

So she decides that she will just do this last run for chino and be out the business and out of the town the following week, but chino figures that he would keep her doing it so he could get some money coming in since his money had started to run out. So during one of her runs the cops got tipped of about what she was doing and found the drugs in her car and had somebody already to testify against her. She found out that one of the guys on her team ended up telling on her so that he could get out of jail on a felony charge. So as she is in jail everyone she knows start turning against her.

So as she makes her first court appearance she sees all the guys that turned their back on her when all she did was helped them get money to support there families, she became disappointed in all of them but especially chino because he was the reason for the run and then he turned around and stabbed him in the back.

She has been in jail for months and as the book ends her soon is put in the custody of her mom, and her sister moved to the city she was in so that she would never miss one of her court days, and she had a lawyer on her side and a man to back her up and support her. So she is still awaiting trail and form the looks of it she might get a heavy sentence due to all the evidence and testifies that she has against her.

This book really was interesting because it describe how someone�s kindness can be taking for weakness. She put a lot of people to work so they could live a comfortable life and take care of their families and not want for anything and in the end everyone turns on her and leaves her to take the charges on her own. But I also thought she was kind of crazy for trusting chino again after he left her with nothing and disclaimed their son and she still made extra runs for him, then he ended up leaving her again all alone with nothing.

She did have a twin brother but he was killed when there were in the sixth grade and walking to school and he was hit by a speeding driver who ran up on the sidewalk and killed him.
